Haunting in Disguise
Haunting in disguise,
In a shadow of a slow demise,
And you’re moving like honey
Through the man-made snow.
Thought I had somewhere to go.
It falls so lightly, and it seems so soft,
Under stars on which we dream so oft.
The peace that falls in the Western sky
Brings a different kind of drifter
To this place where I lie.
Erase this apparition; devise a planned escape,
Induce some kind of Heaven.
Erase this apparition; release the odds at stake.
Induce some kind of Heaven.
Wander quietly through misty nights,
And you’ve gotta’ squint to see
The passing lights.
Haunting in disguise,
In a shadow of a slow demise,
And you’re moving like honey
Through the man-made snow.
Thought I had somewhere to go.
